Toni Grew up in Rauma, Finland. Started skating/playing hockey at 2 years old. Won the National Championship in Finland as a captain at Bantam Major playing for Lukko, Rauma. Named the best D man and All star at the U16 Team Finland combine. Played for team Finland at U16, U17, U18 and U20 levels. Also played for Team Finland at the 1990 World Junior Championships (finished 4th). Oldest rookie ever on Team Finland at the men's level at 32 years old. Played first year pro on his senior year of high school for Lukko in the Finnish Elite League. Drafted by the Flyers in 1990. Won the German Championship with Cologne Sharks in 2002. Captain or assistant Captain 10 out of 18 pro years.
