COACH RESOURCES
Every Minutemen coach represents the program — on the ice, in the locker room, and in the stands. Our goal is to develop strong players and good teammates, and that starts with leadership.
- Model respect. Treat players, parents, officials, and opposing teams with professionalism at all times. Coaches set the tone for how our program is viewed.
- Prioritize development. Focus on teaching fundamentals, teamwork, and hockey IQ. Win or lose, every player should leave the season better than they started.
- Be fair and consistent. Ice time, communication, and feedback should reflect effort, attitude, and commitment — not favoritism.
- Support officials. Disagreement is part of the game, but coaches are expected to remain composed and respectful. Never argue calls or engage with officials after the game.
- Create a positive environment. Keep practices structured, competitive, and fun. Encourage players to work hard and support one another.
- Represent Minutemen with pride. Whether at Oaks Center Ice or away tournaments, remember you’re representing the entire program. Lead by example and uphold the culture that sets us apart.

team manager role
Team Managers are the point of contact for each team — handling communication, scheduling, and coordination between coaches, families, and the rink. They help keep the season organized and ensure the team meets all league and USA Hockey requirements.
Managers are expected to be proactive, organized, and communicative, handling logistics on behalf of the team so coaches can stay focused on the players. This includes managing tournament and showcase schedules, distributing information promptly, and helping families stay informed throughout the season.
