The 2016 Rock for Hockey 5K Run and 2K Fun Walk Volunteering
The U16 American VFMM recently participated in a fundraiser to help the Rock for Hockey Foundation, an organization that is known for providing scholarships to help hockey players in the Mid-Atlantic region that are having a hard time paying for the sport that they love because a family experiences any adverse event. The team manned posts and helped with checking in participants for this ever important cause during the 5K run and 2K walk so that the race could proceed smoothly. Per the organization’s website and founder, “…a HUGE thanks to the skaters with the Valley Forge Minutemen 16U American team for coming out and helping run the show!
